Hi to all Maggie's relations,
Thank you for all the lovely comments you have posted on our blog. We don't get many comments and we really enjoyed reading them. Your comments were really cool.
Aunty Sarah, we were wondering what it is like in Rumania. Is it warm or cold? What season is it? Do you make snowmen at Christmas time? We found Rumania on the map. Does it mostly rain all the time? What is your house made out of? Is it like our houses in Nelson? Why are you living in Rumainia? Do you like it?
We loved Maggie's story too. Maggie got a Principal's award at the last school assembly for the wonderful words and phrases she uses in her stories.

Congratulations on your win Maggie. Well done - I am very proud of you.
It was lovely having you up to stay, and I especially enjoyed our trip out to Kapiti Island. Have you told the class about the seal chasing his fish, the weka chicks, the tui on his nest, the tiny robin and the big takahe?? It was such a great day.
Grandma.
Hi Room 6
Romania is a beautiful country ... I was just visiting it. At the moment it is winter there so a little chilly. Later on they will have some snow. It is full with very pretty villages and houses. I visited a fortress where people used to live 500 years ago! It was like a big castle high on a hill ... you had to go through a narrow gate and then inside were houses and a school.
Romania has beautiful mountains, pretty rivers and lots and lots of painted churches - painted inside and out with lots of pictures.
There are many children in Romania - the same age as you that do not get the chance to go to school. They help their families by working because some of the families are very poor.
One other thing you will see everywhere is lots and lots of dogs who don't have homes ... but I met a lady who is helping catch these dogs and find them homes where people will love them and care for them.
I hope this helps answer some of your questions.
Enjoy your Christmas.
